Eligibility
IndyHAX is open to registered student participants only. Participants must check in before registration closes in order to compete.
Teams
Participants will compete in assigned teams. Team names will be given at check-in. Teams may choose where to sit, but tables are first come, first served.
What to Bring
Participants should bring their own computer, preferably a personal laptop, along with their charger. Participants should also bring their own lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided during the event.
Hackathon Submission
Hackathon teams must submit a 5-minute video and their full codebase through Devpost. The Devpost link will be provided during the event. The hackathon prompt will be announced at the end of the Opening Ceremony.
Judging
Hackathon projects will be judged based on creativity, connection to the prompt, usefulness, execution, technical effort, and presentation. The hackathon is not only about who writes the most complex code. Strong ideas and clear explanations matter heavily.
Hackathon Bonus Points
1st Place: JBL speakers plus 700 CTF points
2nd Place: 600 CTF points
3rd Place: 500 CTF points
Code of Conduct
Participants must be respectful to other competitors, volunteers, sponsors, teachers, and school staff. Do not damage, move, misuse, or take anything that does not belong to you, including extension cables, supplies, equipment, or school property.
Participants must use common sense, follow event instructions, and keep the competition fair. Any cheating, disruption, stealing, harassment, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the event.
